Okay so, I saw the ad for this book on Facebook. Those excerpts always draw me in but more often than not, the story line and/or writing sucks.
Do I still buy them in hopes that maybe one won’t sound like a middle school girl wrote it? Yes.
(But I’m used to disappointment.)
Well let me tell you...this book is THAT ONE! It is pure gold and I want to read it 100 more times!
The very beginning of the book had kind of a weird flow and I was skeptical but just a little ways in, I absolutely fell in love with these characters.
Bobby and Willow have amazing chemistry right from the beginning but there is also the undercurrent of real, actual love that I think always makes a good romance better. It blossoms into something very sweet and real.
But it’s not all sugary sweetness. This book gets a 5/5 “fire” rating because the love scenes are STEAMY. Like, glad to be home alone steamy. WHEW. Bobby has a mouth and that’s all I’m going to say about that!
The character development was great and made it so easy to sink into the story and be emotionally invested. I loved watching their relationship grow. The main conflict is heart wrenching and really feels like a gut punch. There’s none of that “conflict that could be easily resolved with one sentence” stuff, that makes you want to roll your eyes into the back of your head. This is a real situation that would be tough for any couple.
Overall, I absolutely love this book and would recommend to any romance lover.
